2006 New Mexico Energy Conservation Code (NMAC 14.7.6)

NOTE: This code is no longer effective after January 1, 2012. See 2009 NMECC.

Residential Code: The 2006 New Mexico Energy Conservation Code (NMECC) is based on the 2006 IECC with New Mexico amendments.

Commercial Code: The 2006 New Mexico Energy Conservation Code (NMECC) is based on the 2006 IECC with New Mexico amendments.

Code Change Cycle: Most recent update effective: March 9, 2011.

On June 10, 2011 the Construction Industries Commission repealed the 2009 New Mexico Energy Conservation Code (NMECC) based on the 2009 IECC with substantial strengthening amendments the Commission adopted in 2010 after months of work by the Construction Industries Division (CID) to develop them. The previous version of the 2006 NMECC – based on the 2006 IECC – became effective until the revised version set at the 2009 IECC baseline took effect in January 2012.
