New Hampshire State Building Code
Intro/Brief:
- Residential Code: The New Hampshire State Building Code references the 2009 IECC with state-specific amendments and is mandatory statewide. REScheck can be used to show compliance.
-
Commercial Code: The New Hampshire State Building Code references the 2009 IECC (referencing ASHRAE 90.1-2007) and is mandatory statewide. COMcheck can be used to show compliance.
After it adopted the 2009 IECC and other 2009 I-Codes in May 2009, the New Hampshire State Building Code Review Board finalized the adoption process on December 11, 2009 as it reviewed several proposed amendments, rejecting most but approving an exemption for log homes.
Effective April 1, 2010, the New Hampshire State Building Code has been amended to reference the 2009 IECC [NOTE: the 2009 IRC requirements for automatic sprinkler systems in one- and two-family dwellings and townhouses will NOT take affect until April 1, 2012 unless required by local ordinance].
