Code Status: International Non-Residential

The following map displays the non-residential code adoption status throughout the world.  If all known codes and standards are mandatory, the country is shaded blue.  If any of the existing codes is voluntary, the country is shaded green.  If a country has shown progress toward code development, it is shaded yellow. Finally, if research indicated that there are no existent codes or code development, the country is shaded red.

This map does not show the stringency or breadth of building elements (HVAC, insulation, fenestration, etc) covered within the codes.  BCAP has more detailed information on some countries.  Every effort is made to ensure that they are accurate and up-to-date. If you have any questions or comments about the maps, please contact us.
