Free Training on Energy Code Compliance

The Nevada State Office of Energy is offering a free training on the 2009 International Energy Conservation Code that go into effect July 1, 2012. The new codes affect architects, contractors, engineers and builders in Nevada.
The July 10 training covers commercial codes and the July 11 training focuses on residential provisions of the conservation code. Topics include building envelopes, mechanical systems and electrical power and lighting requirements. The course instructor is Ken Baker (www.kenergy.us), who has worked with building efficiency since 1978 and codes and standards since 1986.
