SC Code Training- New Codes + Future Implications- Columbia

The Mathis Consulting Company will be working with the South Carolina State Energy Office to provide energy codes training to building code officials, builders, mechanical and general contractors, green builders, realtors, architects, homeowners, HVAC professionals and others throughout the State. To increase energy code compliance through an understanding of the South Carolina Energy Conservation Code among other topics related to buildings science.
Potential training topics include, but are not limited to:
* SC Energy Conservation code Residential/Commercial prescriptive reqs.:
* SC Energy Conservation code Residential/Commercial performance path
* RESCHECK, COMCHECK
* Manual J, D, and S
* System balancing
* The power of energy efficiency
* Duct installation, sealing, and insulation
* Ensuring compliance: Best practices for building inspectors
* Common code compliance problem areas
* Plans review
Materials and tools with be provided at each training. Continuing education units will also be available at select trainings, please check for availability.
