Greener Product and Midwest Renewable Energy Announce Certified Solar Training for Installers
Charleston, SC. Nov 22, 2010 - Midwest Renewable Energy Association (MREA), one of America’s oldest and most respected solar training organizations and Greener Product LLC have entered into a strategic partnership to provide solar training in Atlanta, GA and Charlotte, NC starting January 2011. The numbers are in and are looking good for the future of solar jobs in the southeastern US. According to the National Solar Jobs Census new jobs in the solar industry will increase by 24,000 this year and are projected to grow 30% over the next ten years. “Jobs expected to see the most growth are for photovoltaic installers, solar-specificelectricians, sales workers at wholesale trade firms, sales representatives or estimators at installation firms, and roofers with solar-installation experience” the Census report concluded. Starting in January 2011 Greener Product and MREA will provide a three-part IREC accredited program that provides the training necessary to become a NABCEP Certified Solar Installer, recognized as the “gold” standard for PV and solar thermal installation certification. The program consists of two one day training modules on Basic Solar PV and Site Assessment and concludes with a five-day segment and full solar installation. Those wishing to become professional solar installers or those just having a passing interest in this new and exciting energy alternative are encouraged to attend.
