2009 IECC Effective for Utah Commercial Buildings July 1
After the passage of the State Construction Code Adoption Act, the Legislature has updated the Utah Uniform Building Code to reference the 2009 IECC. As of July 1, 2010, the state of Utah requires all new commercial building permits to meet the provisions of the 2009 IECC. The Uniform Building Code Commission is currently reviewing cost impact analyses before applying the new standards to residential building, which currently must comply with the 2006 IECC.
Ken Baker of K Energy will be offering a series of residential, commercial, and plan review training sessions throughout the state from August 17 to October 6.
