South Carolina Codes Council Approve 2009 I-Codes; 2006 IECC Remains
On March 22, the South Carolina Building Codes Council formally adopted the 2009 International Building, Residential, Fire, Plumbing, Mechanical, and Fuel Gas Codes with an implementation date of January 1, 2011. The state’s energy efficiency standard will continue to be the 2006 IECC, which has been in effect in its original form since July 1, 2009.
