New Hampshire State Senate Passes Bill Creating Minimum Requirements for State Funded Buildings

On December 6, 2009 a bill (SB 409) was introduced in the New Hampshire State Senate that would require new or renovated buildings greater than 5,000 square feet using state funding for more than 5% of the project cost to achieve LEED Silver certification. This legislation would take effect on July 1, 2011.
The Senate passed SB 409 on March 24. The bill is now in the House Committee on Science, Technology and Energy.
