New York Energy Office Launches Residential Green Building Program
The New York State Energy Research and Development Authority (NYSERDA) is set to launch the New York Green Residential Building Program (GRBP), promoted as the next step for the first state in the country to offer a statewide green building program to provide direct incentives to building owners for certified green residential buildings.
The final regulations and all documents incorporated by reference were filed with the Department of State on September 3. The summary of the regulations was published September 22 in the State Register.
The first phase of the roll-out is an updated GRBP webpage, which went live on September 22 with the final regulations, all necessary application forms, and the Program Guidelines. Subsequent launch activities will include announcements to program partners, a news release, and a launch event in the weeks to follow.
