Las Vegas Adopts 2009 IECC Energy Code for Southern Nevada Effective July 5
In September 2010, the Southern Nevada Building Officials (SNBO) approved its 2009 IECC Amendments for Southern Nevada for use within its eight member jurisdictions (including the Las Vegas and surrounding areas).
On April 6, 2011, the Las Vegas City Council adopted the SNBO amendments effective July 5.
The State of Nevada is also currently working to establish the 2009 IECC as the statewide minimum energy code.
