ASHRAE and DOE Sign Agreement to Improve Building Energy Standards

 The U.S. Department of Energy and the American Society of Heating, Refrigerating, and Air-Conditioning Engineers (ASHRAE) have signed a memorandum of understanding related to energy-efficient buildings. Among other agreements, one goal is to strengthen the 2013 ASHRAE Standard 90.1 to 50 percent more efficient than the 2004 edition.
