DOE Extends Comment Period for Cost Analysis Methodology RFI to Nov. 11

On September 13, 2011, the U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) Building Energy Codes Program (BECP) published a request for information (RFI) in the Federal Register (76 FR 56413) to request information on how BECP may improve the methodology it intends to use for assessing cost effectiveness (which includes an energy savings assessment) of changes to residential building energy codes.

DOE has extended the deadline to submit comments to November 11, 2011. Information on how to submit comments is noted in the RFI.

BCAP has previously released state-specific incremental cost analyses for changes in the 2009 IECC for individual homes for over 30 states.
