The Guam Building Council Considers Energy Code
The Guam Building Council is reviewing a proposal for a new energy code, titled the Guam Tropical Energy Code. The code follows a model from the International Code Council, but with some changes to reflect Guam's tropical weather. The proposed energy code for Guam would help ensure local buildings and facilities be more energy efficient. After the revisions the council will send the draft proposal to the Legislature where they will have public hearings and revise the proposal before it becomes law.
