The U.S. Green Building Council (USGBC) will delay the final ballot on LEED 2012 until June 1, 2013 to give members more time to absorb the changes in this next version of the rating system. USGBC has committed to a fifth public comment on the proposed new version to be open from October 2 through December 10, to coincide with the 2012 Greenbuild Conference, where public forums and educational sessions will be held. Because of the date change, LEED 2012 is being renamed LEED v4.
