This analysis indicates that incremental costs to build new homes to the 2009 International Energy Conservation Code (IECC) in Nebraska will be approximately $400 for a new home—although this figure could increase or decrease depending on local practices.

A two-page handout that serves as a visualization of this analysis is available here.

This report was prepared by BCAP and the Nebraska Energy Office with the support of the U.S. Department of Energy (DOE), Pacific Northwest National Laboratory Contract No. 136185 funded under the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009. However, any opinions, findings, conclusions, or recommendations expressed herein are those of the author(s) and do not necessarily reflect the views of DOE.
