BCAP challenges construction cost as a barrier to energy code adoption with a quantitative analysis of the incremental cost of upgrading to the 2009 IECC.
BCAP keeps energy code stakeholders up-to-date on the status of residential and commercial code adoption in the United States and around the world.
BCAP assists state and local governments in adopting and updating energy codes and above-code programs through policy guidance and sample legislation.
BCAP supports the building, design, and inspection communities with information on advanced codes, including references to practice and applicability.
BCAP commissioned the Britt/Makela Group to prepare a national listing of voluntary and mandatory above-code, high performance, and green building programs in August 2009.
